On November 4, 2008, voters residing within the Victor Valley Community College District passed Measure JJ, a $297,500,000 bond measure authorizing funding for needed repairs, upgrades and new construction projects for the College. Proposition 39 is a state law that requires the Victor Valley Community College District Board of Trustees to appoint a Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee to work with the District to review bond funded expenditures to ensure that the bond proceeds are expended only for the purposes set forth in Measure JJ.
